Southern Gourmet partners, husband & wife team Randy & Crystal Provance, have over 25 years experience in hospitality management and food & beverage service. With culinary arts & hotel/restaurant management degrees the two have a true love of all things edible. Both have enjoyed long careers in corporate as well as country club food & beverage management.
Opening their first venture in 1996, Caffe Café was a successful coffeehouse /jazz venue where catering quickly took on the staring role in the business. After only a few years, business was all about gourmet catering for the Provances, moving them to a larger catering kitchen in the eclectic Noda area. The thriving operation outgrew the space in only 6 years & the search was on for a larger kitchen. The perfect place was available at the Monroe Road storefront.
With a desire to expand on the gourmet fare that the two were known for, southern foods were incorporated into the offerings. A restaurant menu was developed & The Southern Gourmet opened its doors in the spring of 2006.
